Universal Church Collection

Our Universal Church Collection was taken up in the diocese of Orange the weekend of June 15-16, 2024. This special collection combines the Catholic Relief Services Collection and the Peter’s Pence Collection. 

The mission of Catholic Relief Services is to assist the poor and disadvantaged by alleviating human suffering, promoting the development of all people, and fostering charity and justice internationally. CRS aids the poor by first providing direct assistance where needed, and then encouraging these people to help with their own development. 

Peter’s Pence Collection gives us an opportunity to be a witness of charity to our brothers and sisters around the world. It promotes and supports the works of our Holy Father, enabling him to respond with emergency financial assistance to victims of war, natural disasters, and others most in need of assistance. 

A portion of Holy Family’s weekend offertory was be given in support of the appeal, our parish did not take up a second collection during the weekend.
