Eucharistic Congress.
What’s a Congress?
A Eucharistic Congress is an
“Event to Rekindle Your Faithful Journey, Encounter the Timeless In the Present, and Unite In the Presence of the Divine”
This October event will include Eucharistic Processions, Masses, Talks, Fellowship and Adoration
Why a Congress?
To bear witness to the Real Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist!
We know what happens when two or more are gathered in the Lord’s name—but what happens more than 8,000 Catholics descend on Christ Cathedral to attend educational seminars, engage in Eucharistic encounters, and worship our living God?
When?
Friday, October 20, 2023
Saturday, October 21, 2023
at Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove
What is Holy Family doing in this second year of the Eucharistic revival?
First and foremost, we are taking advantage of the materials and support provided by the USCCB and the Diocese of Orange to roll out a series of programs and activities during the year.
We began with our Corpus Christi procession and are now rolling out a series of programs like our "Source and Summit" sessions and our "Share Your Eucharistic Story" program. We will also be working to expand our adoration hours (e.g., special nights for different segments of our parish community) and include more information in our bulletin and internet platforms to drive a deeper understanding of the Real Presence amongst of parish community.
As a short-term goal, we are looking to involve at least 250 parishioners in participating in the Congress in October (youth and young adult night on 10/20 & the main event on 10/21) and we hope to have a good number of faithful engaged in the following Eucharistic encounter training that starts in January. The materials that were created for the Eucharistic Encounter training are amazing and intended to help draw those that participate into a deeper relationship with our living God.
The source and summit of our faith!

Tell us!
How Has Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist Driven Your Faith Journey?
The Encounter with our living God in the Eucharist is the most intimate connection we can have with Him while in this life. Far too many of us are missing out on the full power of this encounter. We want to hear your story and potentially share it with the parish at large so they too can grow in understanding, love for, and appreciation of the Eucharist.

Join us!
At our first-ever Diocesan Eucharistic Congress, there will be tracks in English, Spanish, Vietnamese with a special children's track (5-12yo) so entire families can participate.
Holy Family will play a special role in the Congress as the starting point for the last stage of the Eucharistic procession that kicks off the Congress. We will process from Holy Family Catholic Church (with our teens escorting the Blessed Sacrament) to Christ Cathedral on foot for the opening ceremony of the Congress on Friday, October 20, 2023.
We are grateful for all that signed up to be ushers, serving the Diocese of Orange and Holy Family during the Congress.
