We have a new CYYM!

We are pleased to announce that as a result of the financial support received from the Diocese, we have been able to hire a full-time Coordinator of Youth & Young Adult Ministry (CYYM) at Holy Family. Allan Santa Isabel will be joining us effective July 15, 2024. Allan comes to us with over ten years of experience (starting in High School) working with elementary, youth, and young adults in Catholic ministry at a local, college, and parish level.

Allan is a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville having earned a bachelor’s in theology in December 2022. Allan is currently obtaining a master’s degree in catechetics & evangelization with a double concentration in theology of the body and youth & young adult ministry. Allan was a leader for the Student Evangelization Networking Team (SENT) at Franciscan University, a former Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) Missionary stationed in Denver, CO. Since leaving FOCUS Allan has been serving as the Director of Faith Formation for St. Christopher Catholic Church in Moreno Valley, CA.

As the Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry (CYYM) at Holy Family, Allan will be coordinating Holy Family’s efforts in ministry to youth, young adults, and young families. This includes serving those in our existing confirmation and young adult ministry programs as well as implementing programs to serve post confirmation youth (a bridge to our young adult ministry) and young families. This service entails faith formation in the form of evangelization, catechesis, and community building focused on bringing those served into closer relationship with our Triune God while enabling parents to become leaders of their domestic church.

A few fun facts about Allan…

·       He is a huge LA Lakers fan and Kobe Bryant was my favorite player.

·       Allan is an avid dancer who loves country swing and line dancing (“I go out dancing almost every weekend.”).

·       Allan loves traveling and has had the opportunity to visit multiple states in the US and several European countries, having studied abroad in Europe for a semester.
